.
As you may have already noticed, this discussion board (so far) is mostly me posting my material on the mirror reversal paradox and some related subjects.
Please feel very welcome to contribute by posting, and help me build this presentation to a more full state. I welcome posts that challenge points I've made as well, or posts that ask questions.
For many years this subject of mirrors has spawned so much thought, and has expanded out into so many other seemingly unrelated subjects, that I felt compelled to make this web presentation.
This material is also destined to be part of my soon-to-be-unpublished book.

The previous page was a Table of Contents for the threads on this website, and these threads are written to be read as chapters in a book. It’s fine if you want to jump ahead, but be warned that all the later threads/chapters feed off the terminology and ideas introduced in the earlier ones.
Here’s a slightly expanded Table of Contents:
1 - Why do mirrors SEEM to reverse left and right?
You are here now. This thread is... this thread. I wonder what Godel would say about this...? ...or is it that?
2 - Savoring The Mirror Reversal Paradox
This introduces me and my history with the mirror riddle. It’s also a teaser to ramp up respect for the riddle. I also set the stage for solving it, such as introducing some terminology and attitudes I have found helpful.
3 - Generating the RIGHT Answer
This thread is wordy and long, but I think it’s very thorough and clear for those who want to invest the time and brain calories. For those not in the mood (yet) to commit some serious IQ juice to this thread, there is an alternative: Thread/chapter #5 has three different approaches to nutshell this mirror riddle and make it super compact.
4 - Understanding WRONG Answers
Here is a thread stuffed with some serious comedy... er... uh... I mean you’ll find some laughs here, as well as some interesting observations on the mirror riddle by Nobel Prize winning Physicist Richard Feynman.
5 - Concise Summary of the RIGHT Answer
Thread/chapter #5 has three different approaches to nutshell this mirror riddle and make it super compact. Is this deja vu or did I already say that?
6 - Operational Definitions
Hold on, this one gets way out there.
7 - Deep Ramifications
Here is an exciting new development. This is not a joke. A connection between the mirror riddle and the determinism versus free-will riddle has been found. This was a shock to me, too.
8 - Post YOUR Answer Here
So far I’ve only been able to arm-twist a few friends to post here. Do you think if I put more time into this website and build it, they will come?
9 - Post Miscellaneous COMMENTS Here
So where do I put something that doesn’t fit into the category of “miscellaneous”? Is that a Godel bell I hear ringing again?

All the threads are designated "sticky," meaning they stay in the same position all the time. The order they appear is the best suggested reading order.
In order to maintain the long trains of thought presented here, most of the threads are locked and wont accept public postings. However, the two last threads are open and ready to receive posting.
If you want to discuss a point brought up the locked threads, then please do so in one of the open threads at the end.
It will help if, in posting, you make reference to the Thread Title and the "Reply #" corresponding to your comment that appears in the top left of each individual post box.
Please have fun here.
